Good Monday everyone! I hope this day brings everyone nothing but wonderful things!
Just wanted to let everyone know where we are at in the process today.
I had the final three required tests last week. The most important one being the vein mapping of my abdomen to my toes, it came out perfect! So grafting a kidney to my veins and arteries should be no problem!
Results of the other two tests are due this week, and should be faxed to the pre-transplant coordinator at OHSU by Friday.
After that, I believe we get the go ahead to start contacting those people that have expressed an interest in being tested as living donor.
Many of you have asked what the process involves, so I am going to post a few links below that outlines the process, and also the process that I will need to go through once a donor is identified.
Since I have a high risk of rejection, a cadaver donor is most likely not a viable option. I am currently testing at a PRA of 78, meaning that 78@ of the general population would *not* work for me.

If you, or someone you know would like to investigate becoming a living kidney donor, please let me know. I can get you in touch with the Living Kidney Donor Coordinator at OHSU, who would be happy to discuss any questions or concerns you may have.
And again, thank you for your continued support everyone. It means more to our entire family that you will ever know.
