Here is where we are at.
- We ran labs yesterday, no change. Things still look awful
- Talked to the dialysis clinic, who is convinced nothing could be causing this other than noncompliance. Not a happy conversation. I got rather, well, heated.
- The main concern is that their attitude and notes on my file will weigh heavily on whether I'm accepted to the transplant clinic for transplant.
- If the transplant people think I'm not doing what I should do, they aren't going to give me a kidney.

- Talked to the Dr. We have several options
- Run labs next Wednesday
- If better, we move forward
- If not, I go in the hospital for two days and they do my dialysis
- This will prove out one way of the other whether I'm telling truth about doing what I'm supposed to.
- My exact response?
- Bring. It. On.

- If I go into the hospital and things are still bad, we know one of two things:
- I've totally lost my residual kidney function and/or
- My peritoneum is no longer working as a filter, so I move to hemo
- Run labs next Wednesday
- If I have to move to hemo, I will:
- have surgery soon to install an access into my arm
- after it heals for abit, we (John and I) have to go to Salem (about 4 hours away) for training and then installation of the hemodialysis equipment at home
- The kicker? It's 4 weeks long, in Salem, M-F.All day.
- Training costs? Covered by insurance.
- Travel and lodging? Yeah, not so covered.
- Who takes care of the kiddos so they stay in school those 4 weeks? No clue
- So, how we will swing it? Up to God.
Otherwise, I'm happy to report that I've taken possession of Kati's chest cold.
Good times, all around.
I do want to say Thank You to everyone who has sent support in the form of encouragement and verses and love and jokes and everything.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
You don't know how much it helps.
Know that it is beyond measure.
