So.
The plan was to start posting about our trip up here Friday.
Last Friday.
As in, you know, 48 hours ago.
But, I have to be honest with all of you.
This move? kicked. my. patootie.
Yes ma'am, it did.
See, the weeks before we moved, I started bruising everywhere- really bad. So bad, in bad ,that I was waiting for someone to pull me aside and ask me if I felt safe at home. yes, it was THAT bad.
Besides that, I was pooped. All the time. I racked it all up to the stress of moving in less than a month.
However, when other more disgusting symptoms (I won't gross you all out with them) starting happening, I asked for a blood test.
Lo and behold, miracle of miracles, I was anemic. My crit was under 7. My soon-to-be ex dialysis nurse didn't get any answer back from the DR. until 5 days later, after we had left for OR - and he wanted me to get a transfusion.
A bit lat, don't you think?
We arrived here on Sunday, I was in the ER by 8 and at the dialysis unit on Monday. After talking to the Dr. here (who I LOVE, LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE), we came up with a plan and started new protocols immediately.
So, the new plan- I'm on 20,000 units of ProCrit 1x week, with infusions of venofir (to build up my iron sats) 3x week for two weeks.
Then, we'll recheck everything and adjust.
He has also changed my pain meds to one that doesn't affect me negatively as much - so in a month or so, I should have some balance back! He also put in physical therapy 2x week to build strength in my legs. Maybe I won't fall down so much. Woot! Woot!
The bruising is starting to go away. I'm sleeping like crazy, but it's a good thing.
However, it leaves little time or energy for blogging.
Or, anything else to be honest.
Please bear with me. I'm healing. And it's a good thing.
I P.r.o.m.i.s.e to tell you all about everything that happened. And catch you up on current events. Like driver's permits, and insurance rates ... ugh.
I've missed you all. More than you know.
