Not too much going on. We're still waiting to hear from the Infectious Disease guy. It's been 48 hours since he was back in the office. So, there are some phone calls to be made to get things moving.
I am getting out each day for blood work. Since they need to closely monitor my gentomycym levels, to ensure no toxicity, I get a breather from being cooped up in the house each day :)
The chest cold I've been fighting since I was hospital is still trying to get the best of me, but we've been able to keep it at bay so far. The doctors were hesitant to give me another antibiotic for it, hoping the ones I'm already on are providing a broad spectrum of coverage.
We got some great news over the weekend! My mom is driving in from Oregon, and picking up one of my best friends in CA on the way. They'll be here in a couple weeks and stay for a few days. We haven't seen my mom since my dad passed away two years ago, so it will be nice. And the kids can't wait to see Aunt Sandy! It's been 4 years since they've seen her.
So, we're praying that between now and then I don't have to have surgery.
We're also praying for John's job situation. He has been working from home for the past 4 years since he retired from his career, and is looking at getting a job outside the home. I'm nervous, because we've grown accustomed to having him here, especially with medical emergencies. I do realize the kids are old enough to be home alone should be out at work and I'm in the hospital, but still. We're trusting God to point us in the right direction.
Well, that's it folks. Not too much to report.
